Cumbria Wheelchair Sports Club

CWSC was inaugurated as a charity (reg. no. 1144266) in April 2010 and, as with all good ideas, a great oak blossomed from a small acorn. Thanks to a lot of hard work, dedication and determination CWSC has since grown from its base at the Richard Rose Academy in Carlisle, with just a handful of wheelchair users six years ago, to the club it is now proud to be. It boasts over 200 members spread all over Cumbria and has satellite hubs centred in Whitehaven, Penrith, Kendal and at the James Rennie School in Carlisle.

'UNLOCK YOUR POTENTIAL ... ACHIEVE THE DREAM'

With social inclusion across all abilities as our theme, we are delighted to offer Wheelchair Basketball, Power Chair Football, Boccia and Wheelchair Tennis as just some of our sports. Males and females of all ages are welcome and our training sessions are open to individuals of all abilities, able-bodied included.

'RE-INVENTING THE WHEEL FOR SPORTS IN CUMBRIA AND THE BORDERS REGION'

Looking ahead, CWSC continues to go from strength to strength and we know there is a place here for you. Whatever your disability, or if you just want to come along and take a look, please contact us to see what we can do for YOU.
